Free the Slaves works in affiliation with a wide range of human rights, social justice, international development, and corporate accountability organizations. Our goals are simple: spread the word that slavery and other injustices are often interrelated, then forge partnerships that leverage the resources of many groups to more effectively uplift victims and the vulnerable.
Alliance to End Slavery and Trafficking

The Alliance to End Slavery and Trafficking is a U.S.-based coalition that advocates for solutions to prevent and end all forms of human trafficking and modern slavery around the world. ATEST advocates for lasting solutions to prevent labor and sex trafficking, hold perpetrators accountable, ensure justice for victims, and empower survivors with tools for recovery. Free the Slaves serves as the secretariat and co-chair of the alliance.
Alliance 8.7

Alliance 8.7 was created to help achieve the ambitious undertaking of ending modern slavery worldwide, which is the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8.7, coordinating with those working on the many interrelated Sustainable Development Goals. The alliance focuses on accelerating timelines, conducting research and sharing knowledge, driving innovation, and increasing and leveraging resources. FTS serves as a civil society representativce on the Alliance’s Global Coordinating Group.
Child Labor Coalition

The Child Labor Coalition believes that no child, regardless of race, sex, nationality, religion, economic status, place of residence, or occupation, should be exploited. Exploitative child labor is defined as employment (whether in the formal or informal sector, whether paid or unpaid) that is coerced, forced, bonded, slave, or otherwise known to be unfair in wages, to be injurious to the health and safety of children, and/or to obstruct a child’s access to education or impair educational attainment.
Girls Not Brides

Girls Not Brides is a global partnership of more than 400 civil society organizations from more than 60 countries working to address child marriage. Members are based throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas and are united by a commitment to end child marriage and enable girls to fulfill their potential. Together members are working to bring child marriage to global attention and to build an understanding of what it will take to end child marriage, as well as calling for the laws, policies, and programs to be put in place that will make a difference in the life of millions of girls.
International Corporate Accountability Roundtable

The International Corporate Accountability Roundtable, or ICAR, a project of the Tides Center, is a coalition of human rights, environmental, labor, and development organizations that creates, promotes, and defends legal frameworks to ensure corporations respect human rights in their global operations.
Organization of American States

Free the Slaves is a registered nonprofit with the OAS inter-American system, the world’s oldest international institutional network. The OAS brings together all 35 independent states of the Americas and constitutes the main political, juridical, and social governmental forum in the hemisphere. The organization uses a four-pronged approach to effectively implement its essential purposes, based on its main pillars: democracy, human rights, security, and development.
International Cocoa Initiative

The International Cocoa Initiative, or ICI, works with the cocoa industry, civil societies, and national governments in cocoa-producing countries to ensure a better future for children and to contribute to the elimination of child labor. ICI’s vision is of thriving cocoa-growing communities where children’s rights are respected and protected and where child labor has been eliminated. ICI works to improve the lives of children in cocoa-growing communities by supporting the acceleration and scale-up of child-centered community development and responsible supply-chain management throughout the cocoa sector. ICI aims to safeguard child rights and contribute to the elimination of child labor through innovation, the development, application, and promotion of good practices, and the building of partnerships.
Global Impact Charity Alliance

Global Impact supports an alliance of more than 120 U.S.-based international relief and development charities. These organizations range from large agencies with worldwide recognition to charities providing vital services on a smaller scale. Rigorous membership standards ensure that each charity practices sound financial management and effective program delivery to assure help for the world’s most vulnerable people.
End It Movement

End It is a coalition of leading organizations in the world in the fight for freedom. Each of our partners are doing the work, on the ground, everyday, to bring awareness, prevention, rescue and restoration. We encourage people to get involved in whatever way they can, be it donating money, changing purchasing habits, helping raise awareness, getting companies to change policies or deciding to go work in this field. We all have a voice and we all have influence, so we can all do something.
KnowTheChain

KnowTheChain is a resource to promote greater transparency and dialogue around issues of slavery in supply chains. It was created to educate companies, investors, policymakers, and consumers about the existence of slavery in supply chains and to encourage greater disclosure and transparency. KnowTheChain seeks to open a meaningful dialogue that assists companies in building ethical and fair supply chains free of forced labor and trafficking.
Freedom United

Freedom United reduces demand for modern slavery by inspiring global society to become life-long abolitionists through learning and sharing knowledge. We channel that commitment to anti-slavery organizations through giving, and taking actions that call on governments and companies to end modern slavery.
Monitoring & Evaluation: Trafficking in Persons

METIP is a community-of-practice group of M&E and research staff that focuses on anti-trafficking programming. METIP is a supportive environment where members can network and share best practices, tools, strategies, and ideas for monitoring and evaluation. The aim of the group is to improve monitoring, evaluation and research of counter-trafficking work.
