There are no classrooms at the mines, plantations, fish camps or sweatshops where children are enslaved. Their schooling stops the moment slavery starts. That’s why your support in liberating child slaves makes such a difference. Freedom changes the trajectory of a child’s life.

An educated child is slavery resistant. They are valued, not trafficked. And, later in life, they have options that uneducated adults do not. Education is the key to a brighter future — and education starts with freedom.

Schools are the heart of any community, and Free the Slaves invests your support to ensure that children receive a proper education in the places we work. It’s a fundamental pillar of our community-driven approach to change the conditions that allow slavery to persist. Schools help make entire communities slavery resistant.

Your contributions also support remedial education for children rescued from slavery. Child survivors need transitional classes to catch up on the schooling they’ve missed.

I hope you will take this opportunity to make, renew or increase your annual donation to Free the Slaves. Take a stand for freedom and education for slavery’s youngest victims.

Visit our special It Starts With Freedom webpage to stay in touch with our fall campaign.

Can you help end the conditions that cause modern slavery?
